We've got a busy week ahead with NBA and NHL playoffs heating up, the MLB season in full swing and the PGA Championship going down at Valhalla Golf Club. We have no shortage of options for our Look of the Day series, so let's start the week with our favorite play for Monday's NBA playoff slate.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is doing everything for the Oklahoma City Thunder in this second-round series against the Dallas Mavericks. The star point guard is averaging 31.0 points, 10.3 rebounds and 7.7 assists per game in the series, and he's recording a massive usage rate of 33.1 percent.
SGA wasn't as busy on the glass in the regular season, but he's made it a point to help out with the rebounding considering the Thunder are a smaller team that can get crushed on the boards at times. He's averaging 16.3 rebound chances per game against the Mavericks, which is the second-highest total on the team behind only Chet Holmgren.
Gilgeous-Alexander is also averaging 13.7 potential assists per game in the series, which is the highest mark on the team and the fourth-highest among players still alive in the postseason. That's 30 combined rebound chances and potential assists per game, and he only has to convert about half of them to clear this number.
SGA has cleared 13.5 rebounds + assists in all three games against the Mavs, and his lowest total was 16 in Game 3.
